Striking, ostentatious
objects made in the Yotoco period represent one aspect,
perhaps the best-known, of the metalwork style of the Calima
region. They are principally pectorals, ear ornaments and
diadems with a characteristic hieratic face as the central
motif, adorned with large nose and ear ornaments.
