Money growth
At the end of the first quarter of
2001, the money supply reached Col. $13.9 trillion with an annual variation of 17.5%. This
behavior is explained by the recovery of current accounts and cash holdings, which
displayed annual growth rates of 10.7% and 27.1% respectively.
