Money growth
At the end of the first quarter of
year 2000, the money supply reached Col. $11.8 trillion with an annual variation of 35.4%.
This behavior is explained by the recovery of current accounts and cash holdings which
registered an annual growth of 42.8% and 26.2% respectively.
